My Bunny is pooping on the wood in our hutch....maybe worms?

We have a male bunny. About 2 months old. Bought him at a pet shop. We have a hutch here is the pic of it. He poops maybe 10 penny sized splats a day. Today i found what looks like a very long brown worm in his poop. He also likes to sit in his poop and this makes his paws very dirty. He also wont let me clean his paws. The wood is almost destroyed an i am trying to get him to poop in his litter box area. We are going to a vet on Saturday but what do i do until then.?? I am sick of cleaning 10 splats of poop a day. He is also dirty can i wash him by myself?

Health rabbit poop does not 'splat'. It is small (pea sized- give or take a little), round, firm, and fairly dry. Diarrhea in a rabbit is a veterinary emergency and your rabbit should see a vet immediately (as in today if at all possible, phone the vet back and see if they can work you in). http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/poop.html It sounds to me like your rabbit has some sort of internal parasite issue. As far as the 'dirty', I would not give a full bath to a rabbit that age, but take a damp washcloth and clean him with that to remove surface dirt. Don't get him soaking wet and don't put him outside until 100% dry. If his bum is dirty from the diarrhea, lower just the dirty part into a small amount (an inch or so) of warm water in a sink. Use some baby shampoo or a small-animal shampoo, work it gently through the area with your fingers, rinse very very very thoroughly and keep him inside until 100% dry.
