I Have a Few Questions??? ?
Whats the best tempered kind of snake?
How old is my baby beardie it's about 6" long?
I've had my beardie for about a month if i wait another month is it still safe to get another one?
is my cricket farm to small its about 1'x10" for the whole thing?
How do you know what gender your Beardie is? I think its a girl so i named it isabella but im not sure.
Whats the best tempered kind of snake?
This is a matter of opinion. You will get some different answers on this. If you are considering getting a snake, I would research their care and then go into pet stores to hold the different kinds to find out which is right for you. In my exerience and opinion, red tail boas are the most calm with corn snakes behind them.
How old is my baby beardie it's about 6" long?
This is a "growth chart" that was made up by someone at beardeddragon.org. I must stress that it is just a guide, there is such a difference in bearded dragons that it is hard to make a guide for all to follow.
Here is what she wrote: "As so many things determine growth in beardies. Gene make-up, husbandry, diet, an I'm even starting to think that when eggs are being pushed thru and filled by the female the placement of where it's possition in line can affect as well. Toward the end of stuffing eggs she your female may run low on certain nutrients or hormones leaving some of the last eggs filled short on the nutrient sack. The last part is only my opinion from some of my own experiences. ....
But on an average if baby comes from healthy average to healthy large beardie parents.........
Then this is just an average if under proper care and is a healthy baby should grow heavy emphisis on average an average of 2 inches per month for the first 6 months. .....
So if under proper care and diet an is healthy and hatched at say 4 inches in length......
At 1 month should be an average of 6 inches...
At 2 months should be an average of 8 inches...
At 3 months should be an average of 10 inches...
At 4 months should be an average of 12 inches...
At 5 months should be an average of 14 inches...
At 6 months should be an average of 16 inches...
At this time growth for most beardies will slow down a bit but will continue to grow in length till 12 months or better.
After 12 months or so they may not grow in length anymore but will continue to put on weight.
I'm not writting this in stone this is just what my records, in my house, with my beardies reflects."
Like she says it is just a guide, and alot of things can change what is "normal" for your beardie.

I've had my beardie for about a month if i wait another month is it still safe to get another one?
No matter what type of new animal you get, you will want to keep it quaranteened, at least seperated from your beardie for at least a week. This is to be sure your new pet doesn't have any health issues, especially any that it can give to your beardie. You can get another beardie at any time, but do not house the together - you would have to get a whole new set up for the new beardie, and like stated above you will have to keep them completely seperted for a bit to make sure both are healthy. Here is a good page to read about housing beardies together. It shows the question, and the answer: http://www.beardeddragon.org/bjive/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=95799.

How do you know what gender your Beardie is?
Okay this one I have to tell ya - if you ever take your beardie to the vet (which you should yearly) have the vet check. By all the pics and ways on the internet, by friends, by books, my Spike looked like a boy. I took him to the vet and found out he was a she..lol!!
