All I can say is good luck! I know I got it apart once - you sort of have to get your fingernails under the plastic ring that holds it together and pull at the same time... but then I stupidly put it back together and never got it apart again... nor have I ever used it again.
Don't worry about drying it. You ought to be more worried about making sure you got it good and clean. Shake it out and plop it back in the cage. The hammies are not going to care if it's damp or not, they're going to pee in it as soon as it's back in their cage anyhow.
