The National Geographic Birdfeeders Offer Great Variety To The Backyard Bird Watcher
The nice thing about National Geographic birdfeeders is that you can be assured that they come with great provenance. Sure, you can walk into any local pet store and find bird feeders of all sorts. But do they work well--have they been vetted--that is the question.
With National Geographic birdfeeders the variety is wonderful and the workmanship well worth the shipping cost, which one must consider when ordering off the internet. For instance, you can find feeders with a sturdy wire cage around them so that little birds can hide inside and not be bothered by larger, shall we say obnoxious, visitors?!
The website http://shop.nationalgeographic.com also has a variety of other National Geographic birdfeeders for those who are concerned about needing weatherproof or squirrelproof feeders. There is no need to have your precious seeds go moldy. You don't go to the trouble and expense of buying quality seed just to have rain get in and start sprouting seeds! It's not a seed sprouter you're interested in -- it's supposed to be a dry seed feeder!
And as for our four-legged squirrel ‘friends', yes, they were created with the same inalienable rights as birds by the Creator. The proviso is: NIMBY! You can even find squirrel feeders on the website, but even better, you can find National Geographic birdfeeders that are squirrel PROOF.
If you've fed birds for any length of time, you know how much a squirrel loves sunflower oil seed. After all, they are smart critters. But we are not interested in feeding squirrels high quality seed. We might provide some corn and make them do tricks for it for our entertainment, but not for sunflower seeds! There is a fine squirrel-proof example among the National Geographic birdfeeders on the site.
Also offered among the National Geographic birdfeeders is a unique hummingbird feeder mobile! It has three glass balls that can be filled with red sugar water. The balls turn around each other in the wind and with the attentions of the hummingbirds. Give it a look. It's a delicate and enchanting piece of sculpture in motion.

How do you and your Fuzzies like, The Ferret Nation Cage?
Im going to be buying my Ferrets, the ferret nation cage model 142, for Christmas
http://www.ferret.com/item/ferret-nation-habitat-model-142/630503/
I know that is is a Great cage & i just had a few questions.
1. I see pictures of other people`s Ferret Nations & they have Customized Covers for the wire shelfs, and i would like to get the same but i dont know, how to go about getting them. ????
2. I heard there was a "space"/ "Groove" or something on the perimeter of the shelfs, where some fuzzies may get there feet caught? How have you fixed this? I thought of maybe putting duck tape?
3. I found the cage on Ferret.com & it seems to me, that the cost there is the cheapest online. ($179.99) but is it cheaper in a pet store such as Pet supermarket? or is there any other website perhaps that is cheaper?
Thank You in advance!!!
I order all my bedding for my FN from http://www.littlefeetferretbedding.org
The shelf covers cover the gap in the FN shelf. There used to be a big gap that was causing problems, but Midwest has since made a new design. Even though, this new design is still catching toes, and it killed a little ferret because she hung there for so long. After hearing complaints about it, Midwest is currently finding a way to modify their shelves again. That's one great thing- the company DOES care about their customer's- pets and humans!
I'm not quite sure if it's cheaper at actual stores. Maybe ask them if they can ship it to their store (which is usually free shipping) and how much it would cost, and then compare the two costs.
You will NOT regret this cage!!! It is the BEST! I had the 142, and I loved it so much I went off and got the 143 to add on! Here's mine (bedding doesn't match just yet because all the sets were for the 142- bedding is my x-mas gift! =D Some people complain that it is a little noisy when the ferrets bang around, and that sometimes the doors don't click. (just push them in and they'll snap shut.) BUT, it's the only cage that I don't have to worry about my ferrets finding a way to get out!

Also, my ferrets love it! This is Tootsie, waiting for me to stop taking a video and let her out to PLAY!

How Google got too hot for China's kitchen
It is one of the positives of my largely happy life that I never found myself in the field of public relations with a client like Beijing. It's not that there aren't many wondrously good stories about China — hundreds of millions of otherwise dirt-poor people moving up into a better economic life, etcetera — and others we still have to learn about. But as long as old geezers in Beijing are still ...
