Is my zebra danio gravid/pregnant?

so it now looks abnormally big while the other zebras are normal sized, i mean like the stomach part is like a big lump, and i tried placing it in a breeding tank in the main tank where it is like a box with narrow slits at the sides and a divider also with narrow slits such that baby fry or eggs could slip through. i have tried this with my platys and it works but with my danios i don't know if they work as i have left them there for three nights already. i heard that the male would start chasing the female around but i don't see much of that sort of activity going on... i usually check on them once at around 7:00am, and then i check them again constantly at around 4:00pm to 10:00pm like once every 1-2 hours but et i don't see any of the "chasing around" activity going on. is it because there are other fish in the aquarium so they won't breed even in a breeding box, or is she not full of eggs at all?

The breeder box would work with Platys as they're livebearers. It won't work for Danios which are egg scatterers. It does sound like it may be gravid, full of unfertilised eggs, these would be sprayed out then the male would fertilise them - then the rest of the tank would dive in for the free meal!

But unless you have a spare tank for breeding and raising the fry - they're not as self-sufficient as livebearer fry - I would just leave it as is. Keep an eye on her and if she feels comfortable she will either scatter the eggs, or maybe just reabsorb them.
