sometimes a layer of bubbles is on top?

i have an aquarium with 2 tetras fish in it, that has an under gravel filter system in it that uses a water Stone for water cycle and aeration., every now and then their would be a layer of tiny bubbles on top of the aquarium, i bought it last year december. wondering if the bubbles are normal and if they will go away eventually? oh yeah i use tetra aqua aqua safe water conditioner that has bio extract in it.
i have been doing frequent water changes also, the fish looks healthy too

the bubbles are coming from the water stone
when i turn it off the bubbles stop and go away, so then it is normal right, let it finish cycling then?

Bubbles at the top indicate bad water quality. It indicates that you have waste in the tank and that is broken down and comes to the top in the form of a bubble due to the air stone like in protein skimmer.

Here is a quick test I learned from another site to test to see if the bubbles are truly due to waste. Put the tip of your finger and move the bubbles around and if the bubbles pop easily you have nothing to worry. If it doesn't they your water quality is bad.

Do frequent water changes and most importantly pull out the debris from the under UGF plates.Here is how you accomplish this. When siphoning the gravel, remove one of the UGF cap and put the siphon over it and push it down hard. This will pull the debris from under the plates. Once finished, replace the cap.
